Peach Jam Made By Me

I was so excited to get started with my jam making, It took a very long time but it was so fun and so worth it. I don't think you realise how much sugar is in jam until you pour it in yourself, wow. But this much fruit has to make it some what healthy, right?

Jar's and jars of gorgeous yummy peach jam!!

Oh, and just because I'm fabulous I decided to make banana bread too, I'm posting it to show Kristi how brilliant the pampered chef mini loaf pan is:-)

  2. OMG! I have to have one of those. You made a HUGE batch of Jam! LOL I made not even half of that! You are awesome. If you buy low sugar/no sugar pectin you can do jam with less sugar. That is how I do it because you know how I am about sugar :-) Or if you want the full amount then I say go for it - the fruit easily washes out the sugar!! LOL

  3. OH next question. Did you put your jam in a water bath for however long the recipe said? If not it has to be refrigerated and eaten immediately! (I know bummer right? lol) If it wasn't boiled for the proper length of time it is not safe to eat. I wouldn't want you getting sick and dying because you made a batch of jam.

  4. I was wondering about the pectin, I think I will do that next time. I did do the water bath and the jars were sealed (check me out, lol) they had the lids that pop so you knew if it worked. I cooked it for longer as I wanted to be sure, I was there for h.o.u.r.s so dont worry.

    Thank you:-)

  8. I would absolutely buy it and ship it to her but I tried sending Olivia some slim jims and candy and it was going to cost me $70 to send it,lol.

It really is fabulous though, our preK class just whipped up a batch today and they got to take a loaf home with them so that was really cute.

  9. Are you saying your lovely sister is not worth it? Wow. Way to put a price tag on family. LOL Just kidding. $70 for slim jims and candy? LOL LOL LOL What a joke. Maxine I guess you will just need to get yourself on a plane {with some major hard liquor} and fly over. A pan seems like an excellent reason for a trip. :-)
