S-L-I-M-E

We didn't really have much of a girlie night this week as we were all exhausted and full of colds, we went out for dinner with our friends to Chilli's and then came home and watched a movie. So we decided on Sunday we would spend some time together, and what better way than to make slime. Its so fun and really easy. All you need is:
warm water (warmer the better)- 2 1/2 cups
Glue- 3/4 cup
Borax (found in the laundry isle)- 2 1/2tbs
Ziplock bags- x3 ( this batch amount makes 3 lots of slime)
Food coloring.
First, mix together 2 cups of the water to the borax. Whisk it well until it has completely dissolved.
Second- Mix the rest of the water with the glue.
Third- pour 1/2 a cup of each mixture into the ziplock bags. Add a few drops of chosen food coloring, seal the bag, with the least amount of air init as you can.
Forth- This takes a bit of time but it really does work. Keep squishing it and moving it around until it gets thick, it does take about 7-8 minutes to do but it will get there.
Fifth- Take it out of the bag and begin to play with it, it will be sticky at this stage but the more you play with it the less sticky it will be, and after a little while it wont be sticky at all.
Masie's blue eggs and blue ham:)
You can store the slime in another ziplock bag in the fridge. Side note- this is weird I just went over to my last blog to get some of the details to copy and found out I posted our slime on the 7th of February last year. I thought it was cool.

  1. I think the slime is pretty cool but in true geek fashion I am more impressed that it was the 7th of February last year that you posted the same thing! LOL
