Little Tiny Fingers

As you are quite aware I love little fingers, I print them every chance I get. We did these gorgeous prints today. Sounds really weird but each of them look like that person did it, they each have their own styles and these represent that. Love my little preschoolers.

Friday- The 2nd grade classes were doing a rap about presidents day in front of the whole school. The had to have Red, White or Blue somewhere on them. Here are Masie and Faith with very Red hair. Masie is wearing white trousers and a blue shirt. Saturday- Here we have Ladybugs, we have had no luck with raising these little things, we have tried since last summer. They kept arriving dead, this lot arrived alive but the next day all but 4 were dead. But those seem to be OK so we will see if they make it or not. I called insect lore and told them I was very unhappy and they are sending me some caterpillars as I did not want to repeat the Ladybugs.
Sunday- Chris was laughing at me when I was waxing, he told me I dramatized the pain. So when I had a good shot I did this. He was not happy with me at all, he called me a bitch. Well at least that's what I think he said, I was laughing so hard. I think he learnt his lesson.
Monday- My favourite animal, love these guys. We were watching him eat his hay, which was very interesting. We loved how he was swaying his trunk back and forth before throwing it into his mouth.
Tuesday- Isn't Hailey cute, Mrs Terry put clips in her hair while in class and she loves them. She is getting so grown up, here she is emptying her cubbie after class.
Wednesday- Lovely Mason working on his mater piece for his Mama. These inks are really cool, my friend bought me them and they are so fun for the kids and great colors, she knows me so well.
Thursday- Masie and Taylor are doing really well at Taekwondo, they are now official, check out the cool patches. They also have three stars on their belts representing great students and hard workers.

Tea Party Plans

So its Taylor's 6th birthday coming up and in the past we have spent ridiculous amount of money of bouncy castles, clowns, pinatas etc etc. We have decided to down size and have them think of something they would really love to do with just a select few people. Taylor put in a lot of thought and came up with a tea party, very classy, very Taylor. My friends husband works with pottery and offered to make her her very own tea set. We were delighted, how exciting, we are going in this Saturday to paint it. With a lot of thought, here are our plans as of right now. Please note, some of it may seem strange for a tea party, but lets remember, Taylor helped make the list and she is the queen of the day so don't judge her, lol. That Day Again

Today was the day Masie went back in for her test, we have been dreading it ever since they told her that her second surgery has yet again failed. We are hoping and praying to god that these test will show that her body has fixed the small hole that still remained in her bladder causing reflux. Unfortunately if the test show she is still refluxing she will have to go for a third reflux surgery to fix the problem and then yet again a year later she will need to repeat these horrible, painful tests. Her appointment is the 1st of March so please, please, please pray, fingers crossed that this cute little perfect girl gets some good news that we have been waiting for since she was 3 years old. Please let this be the end of her bladder problems.

Here is a picture of her disliking the machine they put her in to do the renal test, amazingly enough this was taken only minutes after the test. She did awesome, well once I caught her. She did her "hell no" thing and took off running when they called her name. She was so scared and immediately started crying and screaming. We got her in the room and on the bed, the nurse was lovely and talking so softly to her, but she was frightened. We calmed her as much as we could and then they started, they had to stop and call for help as she was so strong they couldn't hold her down, her poor legs were red raw when they finished. Seeing her so distressed I asked to speak to her a second, they released her and I held her so tight and whispered softly in her ear while stroking her hair. I told her to lay so still and find her happy place, the more she struggled the harder it was to get the tube in, I said if she fought it, it would come out and they would have to do it again. Something then clicked and she was calm and didn't even cry when they put it in, she simply said "owe owe". Once it was over she turned the the guy and said "you didn't have to duct tape me this time" he smiled and said "that's because you were awesome Masie" (he was the one that did it the last time and remembers her). After her hospital trip we went to the El Paso Zoo. it was a great day out and a first for Hailey. She walked the whole way around without a pushchair, being carried or whining!!! Yay Hailey. We had a nice time together.

Our Sunshine is Back

We decided yesterday to drive to the mountains and go for a little walk/hike. The sun was shining and everyone was on great form. We took the puppy dogs with us and they thought they were in heaven. Nobody was around so we let them run loose most of the way. My girls are defiantly outdoor kids, yes they like to watch TV and play the DS for hours but if you take them out somewhere they will be there all day long.
I wanted a lovely picture of Chris and Rexy, and this is what I got.
During our time down in the creek part, the weather warmed up a lot. It was very hot and the dogs kept running in the water. Pablo kept putting his whole face under, he was so funny, he attempted to lay down in the stream and suddenly realized it was too cold and shot back up.
Masie decided Pablo had a great idea to cool down, so down she goes and dunks her head. **Note, Masie's scalp is red from hair dye not blood**
Taylor also decided that this was a good idea, although it took her another 20 minutes of the heat to dunk her head.
The question is, what do you do when its a gorgeous day, there is a big puddle of cool water and your parents say do whatever you want.
You Jump In Of Course
Hailey was happy on the side just throwing rocks in the water, then she decided to take a little dip.
Seconds after this picture was taken, she went IN and immediately started screaming that her clothes were wet, she was horrified but quickly got over it.
A fun family day out.

Foto Friday

Friday- Taylor had yet another sleep over, that kid has a great social life. So Masie, Hailey and I had our girlie night. We went to Arby's which is our favourite at the moment, mainly because we get to eat these gorgeous Delicious pastry's. Mine and Masie's favourite is the chocolate and Hailey's is the cherry. OMG my mouth is watering just looking at them. Saturday- I will admit we didn't eat the best when Chris was gone, when he came back I cooked a very yummy dinner that everybody loved. Here is Hailey finishing off the Ahh Bisto, remember not a drop is wasted in this house. P.S. We are very low Mother Dear:)
Sunday- I took a picture of my very clever husbands award. He was given this award after the graduation last week, it is a distinguished graduate award. He was the top ten percent of all the students. I'm very proud of him, he is so smart.
Monday- Spring is here!!!! We saw this lovely little lady and I asked her very nicely to wait while I ran in the house to get my camera, and guess what, she waited for me, how kind. The weather has drastically changed over the past few days, and I'm hoping we are in spring.
Tuesday- We had a fun evening outside with scooters, bikes and climbing trees. We invited our neighbours out, most of them were at the movies so Kathrine was delighted to have some company. She is in Kindergarten too but just in another class. Her baby sister is in hospital, very poorly and has been there for a month now. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, its taking it toll on the whole family.
Wednesday- Wide eyed Taylor with Sunshine. We have decided to sell her (Sunshine not Taylor) to the local pet shop who is looking for a female Albino and at breeding size, which she is.
Thursday- After months of begging we have finally signed the girls up for Taekwondo. They are doing great, today was their 4th class and they are picking things up. Taylor was put in the same class so she could be with Masie so I hope she can keep up, they both are having fun and learning, posture, technique, discipline and how to have fun with martial arts. Just love how girlie Masie's hands are.

Questions Parents Dread

As a parent there are certain questions that are difficult and/or uncomfortable to answer. You know the ones
  • Where do babies come from
  • Why do boys have penis's
  • Whats a period etc etc

Tonight as I'm working on my Foto Friday my little Taylor runs in my room crying her eyes out and lands in my arms. She is saying "I don't want to die". It was a really sad moment and one that left me lost for words for a long time, Chris came in and told her it wont be for a long, long long time and sent her off to bed. Which set off more tears, so we sent Daddy back off to study in the living room while Mummy handled the situation. She said "everyone dies when they get old and I don't want to die". The question is telling a scared child a few white lies because 'you just don't know' a bad thing? I told her after she has had the most perfect life and had kids and they have kids and when you are very old you will go to heaven.

T- But I don't want to die

K- But you will be the same person but you will be up in heaven, you will be with all your family and friends but you will have a bonus because God and Jesus will be your neighbour.

T- Big huge smile (Taylor LOVES God and Jesus). But will I come alive again? (Tears filling up again)

K- Yes you will, every person that is a good person throughout their lives and makes great choices, get put back in the stars. You will be in heaven and all the wonderful, brilliant things about you will go back into a star and you will be born again.

T- Will you adopt me again (love how she said that)

K-Yes, you will be born to me again and you will be a little tiny baby, for little tiny toilets (quote from Despicable Me movie that Taylor loves and found very funny).

So I'm not sure where the question came from, or why she was even thinking about it but I dread questions like that, mainly because I have to answer questions and don't really know the answers. My priority was to reassure her that everything was going to be OK and tell her what my beliefs were. I hope I did right by my little girl tonight, I laid her back to bed and gave her some happy thoughts to think of while falling asleep. (Nanny and Grandad are coming in a few months with Uncle Rob, Auntie Sam and M.A.D.D.I.E.) So she fell asleep with a smile.

President Report by Masie

Masie has to do a president presentation tomorrow. She was given President Zachery Taylor, she had to research him and answer certain questions. She did really well and I think she will be confident standing in front of the class and presenting her report.

Update on Mango

OMG I didn't realize myself just how big this bunny had grown until just now. Geez he grew quick, look at the baby picture he is just adorable. Perfect little ball of fluff. In the second picture Taylor can barely hold him up for the photo, we love Mango so much, he brings us lots of smiles.

Rough Morning

My morning went a little bit like this:

Connor put your clothes on.
Connor don't push that toy into the wall.
Connor, if you throw that shoe at me I will throw it back.
Connor don't flick me.

( Connor- meme (which means Meany) F*** off Bi*ch)
Stop kicking the other kids Connor, what is wrong wit you today?
( Connor- Cow, stupid Idiot)
Seriously that is not even half of it, my head is pounding. Thank god my other kids were angels today and I set them up with some water play and other fun things so I could make sure my house wasn't destroyed from a 100lb 5 year old having an all day tantrum.

So its is 1.49 pm and I have had all I can take today of Mr Connor. Whatever his reasons are they are not good enough and his Mom cant come soon enough.

Happy Valentines Day

My doorbell rang yesterday afternoon and these gorgeous Roses were handed to me. My lovely husband surprised me with 2 dozen roses and a box of chocolates. I was very excited. They are so pretty and smell delightful in my living room. We are starting an exercise and diet program tonight so I had to take care of the chocolates pronto. I felt very special:)

Clever Little Boy

Mason might not be mine but I love him to bits and life would not be right without him. I get so proud of him, today he wrote his name for the first time by himself, this is huge. I usually do the dots and they have to trace them but today I wrote his name on the white board and told him to copy it. Clever little pudding.

Last Girlie Night

So we had our last girlie night last Friday, Taylor missed it because she was partying again at a sleep over. She had the most fabulous time and I was able to relax and enjoy just two kids. So we stopped off at Arby's we ate good and finished it off with our favorite desert, chocolate turnovers, YUM. We did some painting up the table, one of the boxes Grandma and Papa bought the girls for Christmas. Hailey was d.o.n.e about 2 hours into the evening and we found her like this.
Masie and I did this fabulous picture, Masie picked the theme of deserts. We worked on it for a long time and it was great quality time.
Hailey made this jellyfish picture while we were busy with our desert picture.

Chris Gets Attacked By a Poodle

Book Review- Bloodfever

My latest book "Bloodfever" my friend Sonya gave me this book to read and I was hooked, its about a young girl that moved to Ireland to find and take revenge on her sisters murderer. Only to find out she was not who she thought she was and had special talents and senses evil. She has got in all sorts of trouble and lucky for her certain people want her alive. I wasn't going to read the next one right away but found myself picking it up immediately. This is the 2 book in a series of 5, we will see if I read all of them. I really want to read the Twilight Saga again so I need to hurry up.

Foto Friday

This is my last week being alone!! My boy comes home tomorrow and I'm very excited, the girls are doing their happy dances. This has been six week that has felt like six months, its horrible but being a military wife you just have to get on with it. You get used to them being away, and get on with day to day life as much as possible. Then by the time they get back you are in a different routine doing things by yourself and its hard getting back into family life again. All that said, I want my husband back right now!!!

Friday- Taylor is just coming on leaps and bounds, I'm so proud of her. She is reading actual books and loves every second of it. She is doing so well she has encouraged Masie to start enjoying reading more and now Masie has just finished her first chapter book read entirely by her. Saturday- Oh to be a child again. This is one of all three kids great pleasures in life....... The car wash. They L.O.V.E it and always beg to go through it. Their favourite part is the 'rainbow' part, Hailey gets upset when they wash it off after only a few seconds.
Sunday- Look how big Lucky is!! This is a spoilt mouse, she is fat and happy. She sleeps all day and in the evening she comes out for her dinner a little drink and a play on her wheel, what more could the luckiest mouse dream for? How about 3 kids that love her dearly and smoother her in love. I'm ready to find homes for all my pets that eat live food, seeing her makes me think different about what pets I keep.
Monday- My very first Frappe, thanks to my best friend Sonya!! She bought me one of these and delivered it to my house before my hard work of cleaning, playing, cooking, teaching, driving etc etc began. What are friends for. OMG it was Delicious.
Tuesday- A very rare moment, Hailey and I went out for lunch, just us.... She choose Taco bell, and I was secretly glad because I love Taco Bell. We had a little chat but as you can imagine chatting to a three yr old consists of a few questions followed by funny faces and poop talk. But I enjoyed my baby, and I think she enjoyed her Mummy. She said "bye" to the server and he chased after us to give her a toy, she was so happy.
Wednesday- Our last day with Nicki, we have had Nicki in the daycare for about 5 months or so and she is a sweet girl. We only have her before and after school so we don't get too long with her. She will be missed though, Masie, Nicki and Faith are in the same grade and play lovely together.
Thursday- Hailey is changing so much, she is maturing and becoming better behaved. She has started responding to time outs and chores so it really helps. She is a happy little thing most of the time, she does have a grumpy side but don't we all.
