She was very sleepy but otherwise fine, she is still fine. What a brave little teddy bear.
Lets hope her speech improves, I have already seen an improvement when she said "snake" yesterday, she has always said "nake" and it didn't matter how many times I said "snake" she couldn't say it, but yesterday she copied me immediately and perfectly.
***************************************************************************************************So there is a slight matter with her school, it turns out that the government is cutting preschool funds for kids with speech delays, she still gets the therapy but not the school. I'm very upset by this and sad for Hailey, after so long she has found a school that has brought her out of her shell and helped her in more ways than just her speech. I'm very angry that the government has decided to cut this program when there are so many people out there sponging off the state and sucking the money dry so children have to suffer. We are still in for the time being and at the beginning of school an IEP meeting will be called for all the children affected by this decision and it will be explained why its happening and whats the next step. I have already tried to get her into Head Start and will find out next week if she qualifies for the program, and then there is a waiting list. I'm frustrated that we were given no time to prepare for this, I frustrated that it has come to this and now my anger is on all the money that is being wasted for it to happen, too many people are "playing the system" and I'm mad!! Wish Hailey luck as she now has to find a new school, new friends and a new comfort zone thanks to the State of New Mexico!
Wow! What a brave little girl! Give her a big hug and kiss from me!
