Finally Happy

Today as I do every Friday I stood on the dreaded scale, I have been going up and down here and there for the past few weeks, not by much but still.  Anyway it said I put on a pound which I didn't think I deserved and it hurt my feelings. Then all of a sudden I thought, you know what I don't care. For the first time ever I am happy with the way I look and I don't need a number on the scale to change that. Do I need to lose a few pounds? Sure, but who doesn't. Do I need to tone my tummy, butt and legs? Of course but so what. I am eating good portions, healthier food and being active, I am also in a size 9 pair of jeans and I can still breathe.
So I say screw the scale and live your life without that concern! Life is too short to worry about a number.

Week One, Complete

I had the most fabulous work week, it was very tiring and my legs feel like they have run a marathon.  It was worth every minute, the kids are awesome and I cant wait to give them all I have. I get to sit next to Taylor every lunch time and I see Hailey for afternoon recess, she tells me this is her favourite part of her day.  I only see Masie sometimes but her face lights up when she sees me. Hailey is doing fantastic and being a great Kindergartner, Taylor doesn't really like her teacher at the moment but doing good. Masie is doing good but having a lot of emotional issues right now:(

Check out this cool toilet candy, the lolly is a plunger, lol. We decided to party and celebrate our week. We baked all afternoon and had a good ole time.

A new system in our house. They each have one jar, one money box and then there is the bank. They start the week with $2 in their jar, they can earn more money but also can lose money. If chores are not done or behaviour is bad, money is taken out. At the end of the week they keep what is in the jar and put into the their money box. The bank money is where the fee's are put and also extras are given out.

Cookie and Masie's 9th Birthday

My blogging has suffered lately and I hate that, I love to keep things in here to look back on. I'm trying but time is limited lately. I have time now so I'm going to do a bunch of post and randomly post them throughout the week.  Here goes with a huge post.

Masie had one hell of a birthday, first her birthday wish is always to have Auntie Cookie with her, and a few days before her birthday we get a call that she is in country traveling and wants to visit. We got a cake and made a little girl happy.
Wishes can come true.
They stayed with us for 2 days and we made the most of them, here is her new husband Jeremy.
Fabulous picture.
They were not the hiking type but had a blast trying.

We took them to the gorgeous white sands in the evening so the heat was lower, it was wonderful.
Of course I made her run down the side of the dunes!!
So much fun, we laughed and laughed.

Masie's actually birthday didn't turn out quite as planned but we made it work.

Her collection of Beanie Boo's is getting huge.
Don't judge me on the Christmas paper, I'm on a budget, lol.
I love Taylor's face in this one.
After a lot of thought, we relented and she is now a proud owner of a Kindle Fire. I sometimes have to remind her that she can read books as well as play games:)
Starbucks is a must for a fabulous 9 year old
Her friend Trinity was meant to be with us and are plan was Chilli's BUT all the electric went out in town A.L.L therefore nothing was open. so we cancelled Trinity but had already picked up Emily so we went to base to eat. They still had a good time.

The movie theater is out of town so had electric, we took the girls and watch "Dairy of the Wimpy Kid, Dog Days" I tell you what it was absolutely fantastic, so so funny.
The next day we took Trinity to Chilli's with us
 Happy 9th Birthday baby girl
So she had one hell of a birthday, 3 days long.

We made it through, but how did it go?

Fabulous!! I was more excited than nervous about my first day so that was a good sign. Hailey and Taylor were super excited, and masie had to take a tablet to calm her. But once we were all there it went without a hitch.  Here I am ready for my first day of work.
My gorgeous children ready for 4th grade, 2nd grade and Kindergarten.

Faith came over to walk with us to school.
Happy Ladies, I love my girls.
We met Mason along the way and I was so happy to see him all grown up and ready for big school.  He is in a different class to Hailey but this is a good thing so they socialize better.  I saw him a few times throughout the day and he was great, he ran to me and hugged me at recess, I love that I can still be with him.
Hailey was a little nervous once we got to the class room, I'm glad I had to leave quickly as I was getting emotional and she was feeling it too.
Now I have three pictures in this class on the very first day of Kindergarten, we adore Mrs Tade.
Quick snap picture of the other two cuties in the cafeteria I saw all the girls throughout the day and they were getting on really well. I even got to sit next to Taylor at lunch as my kiddo's were eating at the same time.
First homework, Hailey surprised me by getting to work and completing her assignment.
Isn't he the cutest shape monster?
Masie and Faith also got to work with their first assignment, Taylor got off easy today and she was happy about that.
Great first day, I hope it continues.
