Carlsbad Caverns, School Trip

I was very lucky to be chosen to take Leonie on the Carlsbad trip, I was going to take a personal day and go with Masie anyway, but I had to use all my days on sick children. So I got to go anyway but as a Chaperon.
It was super fun, we had the best time.  At first we were worried as Leonie saw the entrance to the cave and looked at me like I had lost my mind. She doesn't have the language (in English) to tell me she thinks I.have.completely.lost my.mind.  When she knew I was serious about taking her into a dark and scary cave, she continued to be more nervous and jumped at every sound and sight.  Being the last group to go down, I thought for sure we would have be in there until ten at night.
After about 20 minutes she relaxed and allowed herself to enjoy it. She is so funny, at first I would say "Wow, Leonie, looked at that" and she would reply "That is not Wow, Mrs Kerry". I just love this girl. Once she started "Wowing" herself I knew we were on a roll.

She was amazed, smiling, talking, talking and laughing....... Did I mention talking?
These were the other girls that went with us.
Sonya got in the car and drove the 3-4 hour trip to walk through the caves with us, such a special friend.
My sweet Masie was delighted that I got to go with her, she also loves Leonie so it was extra fun.

Long day, achy legs and exhausted but sooooooo worth it.

Pablo

Pablo is such a love bug, he can always make the girls smile. If they are grumpy I turn the upside down and he thinks this is the best as he licks them to death.
He loves nothing more than a snuggle on the couch.

Just in Time

Masons Mom, Rachel was hours ago from having her baby. We were late for school so what perfect time to take a few pictures:-)

Mason was tired and the sun was way too bright. I wanted to re do the pictures but she had the baby before I had the chance. But with the tiny bit of photo shop I know, I made them work. I'm happy with the outcome.

What Does a Chocolate Mean?

This single chocolate made my day.....
Let me tell you why:

There is this sweet little girl at my school, I can not put much information on here but let me tell you I see her shinning through all the clouds around her. Her peers do not treat her right and over the last few weeks I have been trying to get it through to her that it is not OK that she is treated this way. I watched everyday as she stared at her lunch then threw it away. One day I saw she took a single bite, I praised her and gave her a high five, her smile melted my heart. From that day on, she eats all her lunch and seeks me out to show me.

The other day she saw me and her face lit up, she gestured for me to get to her level and whispered to me. "My dad said, when I find someone special I am allowed to give them this chocolate". She handed me the chocolate, tears in my eyes I hugged her and told her that she was the special one and she shouldn't let anyone tell her any different.  I hugged her again and told her she could eat my chocolate, she said "I really want you to have it Mrs Kerry". I took it and smiled.

Our Adventure- Picture of Ghetto House

Sometimes you just have to smile!! Or you may never stop crying........

Hopefully this is as temporary as a few weeks, but we are making this whole process as positive and happy as it can be. Nobody needs stress, and it is what it is.

We have a house inspection on Tuesday so wish us luck for that. We are not 100% on closing date yet but hopefully in the next few days we will have more information.

One step closer to our final destination..............

Our Adventure, Final Destination- Spokane Washington

We put our house up for sale at the end of January. That same day we got a viewing, the viewings continued, sometimes many times a week.  Keeping our house "show ready" was pretty hard.  Sometimes our Realtor would call me for a showing that afternoon, I was whizz around like a mad woman in my lunch break getting it in order. Lucky we have the best friend ever, and she would come over and stop the dogs from eating any potential buyers.

We got an offer about a month ago but they needed to sell their house first so we signed a contingency contract. We weren't too happy with this but it was the best we had. To cut a long story short we were contacted at the beginning of this week to say the potential buyers are applying for a bridging loan! An hour later it had been approved and we signed a new contract that night. Fast forward to today and everything is moving quickly and we have a rough closing date of on or around the 8th of May. AHHHHHH What?!

Freaking out, excited, worried, looking forward to the next step of our adventure.

Chris managed to get us on base housing, how? I'm not sure as we were 69 on the list. But we are moving into this lovely white trash in the ghetto housing that's tiny and only has three bedrooms.  Who wouldn't be excited? Lucky for him this is just a temp house as we wait for a 4 bedroom in the new housing. It should be available around June/July, so we will be moving three times in the next nine months. As the ghetto house isn't ready until the 21st May we will be in limbo for a few weeks.

Find out more on this crazy adventure, soon.

Spring Break

Spring break this year has to consist of free or minimum dollar trips.  Money is a little tight at the moment but hey, its only money, right?!
Chris is working so me and the girls went to Oliver Lee, we took our friend Sonya and had a fabulous time. We planned it just right so we would hit Sonics Happy Hour on our way home.
We found so many Lizards, they must have all woke up after their winters nap.

What was I thinking not bringing swimsuits, of course they wanted to get in the rock pool.
Some lovely pictures from Sonya, her phone takes brilliant pictures.
 Whose kids are those?

 This is the life!!
Trying to hold her upside down, but she is way too strong.

Easter

Easter was fun, we woke with Hailey screaming with excitement as she could see eggs. They found their first clue and they were off!!  I'm wondering how many more years a big scary bunny is going to get credit for my awesome Easter baskets?! LOL

We did the hunt inside this year, we were excited as next Easter we will be in another house, another State!
Mango of course helped out, he helped deliver Nanny and Grandads English Chocolate Bunny's.
So my Sister helped me think of a cool idea for the Easter Bunny.  Paw prints in baby powder, Chris was not excited but said OK.

Then it started going into all the little cracks and he was really not happy, so out came the mop.
 Eggs were everywhere!!

Happy Easter
