Snow Day

Today was a snow day here in Alamogordo NM, although there wasn't much snow the roads were frozen solid. We are not prepared for this weather and have no salt trucks to help us out, it doesn't ever last too long which is a good thing. We enjoyed our morning in the snow, we went out front as we were scared we might pick up a dog poop snow ball, lol. Yay, I'm in some of the pictures, I have little photographers and they all wanted to photograph me in the snow, awww little loves.

You can see the snow falling from the tree in this one:-) I have to download my other camera, I took a picture of this tree first thing this morning, then again a few hours later and there is a big difference.

Taylor and Hailey went in as they were cold (again we are from NM) so I brought the dogs out, they had a BLAST!! They were so excited, I love this picture!!

Its funny how these pictures show Winter and Autumn, our leaves are only just falling.

My puppies are so fun to watch, here is a clip for your enjoyment!

I'm Sorry

Taylor and Masie have been fighting a lot lately, and I have had e.n.o.u.g.h! I took a dollar off their allowance, and put them in their rooms for the rest of the evening the other night. Also they have been leaving the lights on left right and center and it is doing my flipping head in (yes, I know I'm my Dad) Taylor came out and gave me this note, her writing and spelling is fabulous.

Masie Testing

This time testing Masie had to step it up a notch, she is testing for blue belt and their performance had to be spot on. I am very proud to say that she gave everyone a show, she was F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C Her form was perfect, her punches and kicks were spot on and her sparring was the bomb! Then.......... She had to break a board, and after three attempts she failed testing. I was so sad for her, she gets to re test just the board breaking on Thursday when she will again get three attempts. I broke out my card and bought her the board she needed to break ($64, I'm in the wrong business) and she is doing amazing. we will be practicing throughout the week, her technique is already improving. Please wish her luck for Thursday, she really wants her blue belt.

Check out her sparring, she is the one in the top right hand corner, the only one in the black trousers.

The Bigger Picture

Just in case you couldn't see it clearly, here is that naughty elf!

Where is that Elf (5)(6)(7)(8)

(8) Eddie has helped the girls out with many things, not only does he help keep Christmas magical he has, been a birthday wish, Surgery help, broken arm comfort and number 8 of our "where is that Elf" series is another one of his charms. Masie was beside herself when she heard the news of Susie, as in hyperventilating and everything. It took about good 30 minutes to calm her to a normal cry, I tried many distractions and nothing worked for long. Then I heard Eddie, he had an idea to help his girl. He told her that she could choose where he hid that night and choose whether he was naughty or nice...........It WORKED..... She smiled and started thinking of ideas. She chose to hide him in her stuffed animals (in her room) but she left a note from Eddie saying he was in the play room, lol. (7) LOL, Eddie is practicing being in the circus, flying over our village. He makes us all smile.

(6) He got into my vines and swung himself on to my ornaments, lucky nothing fell off.

(5) My favourite so far!!! Eddie used my scanner and made a bunch of pictures. He Even scanned his BUTT what a naughty Elf, the girls found this F.U.N.N.Y I on the other hand thought it was rather rude. Hailey thought it was funny that he got a picture with Spider Man. Then, he put up a bunch of post it notes saying he loves Mummy, Daddy, Masie, Taylor, Hailey, Him, Him, Him, Him, Eddie,Eddie and Eddie!!!

Key Board Lesson

Hailey loves to use the computer, she is getting the hang of the mouse and the other day she wanted to use the key board. I asked her why and she said she wanted to email her Nanny. She did amazing at recognizing letters that I told her to press. Everything typed below was written by Hailey I just told her how to spell it.

Susie Boozie

When we were growing up we always wanted a dog, we never could as we moved so much in the Army. When my Dad retired we were excited to find our perfect dog. We dog sat this gorgeous dog Cassie a few times and wanted her but obviously she had a lovely home. So the owners bred her, we went to pick out our male dog!! We did just that but my Mum picked up this little girl and said "ahh, Susie" we all instantly fell in love and adopted her too. Instead of being sad we have decided to remember Susie the way we have always loved and enjoyed her, here are just a few thing:

  • As soon as we brought her home she peed on the carpet in front of my Dad.

  • She would dig holes in the garden but by the time we went out Tyran would be in it, for the longest time we thought it was him.

  • Gross but true, Susie and I shared an Orange Ice-lolly.

  • She would lay on the back of the couch like a cat.

  • She would "talk" all the way to the field before being let off her lead.

  • She loved water, we would shout "Susie don't jump in the...." and we hear a Splash!

  • She was as fast as a bullet.

  • She loved a hug.
We have called Tyran and Susie "puppies" their whole life and they would still come to you when you called the word.

I love this picture, Brother and sister always together.

She was always so great with the kids.

I have naturally shed more than a few tears the last two days, when the news came to me today I was distraught. I miss her, I love her, she is my baby. I cant believe she is gone. The one thing that makes letting go a tiny bit easier is the fact that she had the best life a dog could live. She was spoilt rotten from the first to last day, she was loved more than some humans are. She lived a long happy life.

I will miss you Susie Boozie!!!!!
