Playing Around

This should be my last post of 2012, how did that happen?? Craziness, we have had a good year.
We have been busy around here playing with new toys and gadgets.

Wii fit for kids, how fun?! Hailey loves this game and actually gets her butt off the couch to play it:)

Just Dance, thank you Auntie Maxine, this game has had us laughing (and burning calories).
 Yay, its finished!!

Happy New Year Everyone.......

Book Review- The Golden Compass

The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1)The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was very hard for me to get into, It really didnt grab my attention but I gave it ago as someone told me it was awesome. Once I got into it, I still never got that urge to want to pick it back up until about 75% of the book and then it got really good (for me anyway). Although the book was left at a place where you need to read the next book, sadly I will not.

Christmas Day

Pictures are in no order, lets just go with it.... Pretty sure that Taylor has Mono again, fever going on 9 days now with back to back meds and swollen glands that are painful to touch. We may take her to the doctor tomorrow if the glands are still swollen but other than that she is OK, her fever has been low for 2 days now and she has been herself today, told me her body is full of giggles which I thought was super cute. I haven't taken her to the doctors before now as I was sure they would admit her, and after last time and they practically killed her I was confident we could do a better job at home as there is no cure for Mono.  Anyway... Christmas Eve, I set my alarm twice in the night to give Taylor medicine as I was determined that she was going to have a Christmas morning that every child wishes for.  It worked, she was fever free and she started going down hill in the late afternoon.
We all got so many fabulous and thoughtful presents and we are very thankful.
One funny story, Masie got an Electric scooter from Santa and I was showing her how it worked, yes in the house.  I shoot off so fast, screaming and hearing roaring laughter coming from Taylor and "let go of the throttle" from Chris and I slam into the laundry room and fall over with my butt in the air.  Then I realized what the throttle was, lol.  So Masie said that's not how you do it, she takes it from me and shoots off in the other direction, screaming and roaring laughter from Taylor and a very loud "Let go of the throttle" from Chris and she slams into Taylors door, literally. OMG fabulous, you should have seen the vein on Chris's neck.
We started as always on our bed opening stockings, this is always a blast, I just love the atmosphere of Christmas morning.
Masie AKA Katniss The Girl on Fire, got a bow and arrow set, just a toy to start with but she was so happy.

 Limited addition Jersery!!
The kids enjoyed giving us gifts this year that they had made, Taylors gift for Chris was in this huge box, it was the thing on his head and a sticker, they laughed!

Hailey was awesome, she loved all her gifts and wanted to play with them all immediately.

Another fabulous Christmas with my wonderful family.

This was like the 20th picture taken, they were all looking at the camera but every time one of them was making a funny face or had their eyes closed etc etc. So I said just talk to Santa, and here it is:-)

Christmas Eve, After Santa

Santa had to be very quiet this year, Taylor was up and down for a few hours after going to bed.  Hailey was OUT as always, no worries there.
Poor baby, at this point her fever was low but still a fever and it stayed like that throughout the night, I woke a few times to give her medicine and it helped her enjoy her Christmas morning.
Masie is such a light sleeper but Santa didn't wake her.
 He left some awesome gifts.

Christmas Eve, Before Santa

Somehow the pictures got all muddled up, but who cares Santa is on his way!!! First please pray, fingers crossed and hope that sweet little Taylor is better for Christmas. She has been running a fever for a few days and has going been up for a few hours before sleeping again.

Presents with Sonya and Faith, we just love having them in our lives.  We had a fabulous time as always, spoilt rotten all round and full of smiles and laughter.
Taylor managed to open her presents, after this she started getting better somewhat.

Early this morning we went on the web cam with Nanny and Grandad and little Maddie, Rob was able to join in for a while too. What a blast we had, Maddie was wild with excitement. I just love my family.

Pablo and his bone, wait til he sees tomorrows present.

Faith got an Elf from Santa, a lovely young lady called Cherry. Eddie was very happy.
If that wasn't enough we got to play with Grandma and Papa on the web cam too, they were so happy.  They opened presents and laughed while telling jokes, it was a great time. A tradition we should continue.
Mango checking for his presents.
Chris and I got the girls a book each, and we hit the jackpot with all three. Happy girls.

So.................. Eddie wanted to visit Nanny and Grandad last night........................... He promised to be on his best behavior.

He thought he was being sweet leaving Grandad a little note, but Grandad didn't think it was so cute.  Nanny on the other hand thought it was freaking hilarious.  The girls were like OMG I can not believe he did that.  He also decided that Nanny's tree needed a little more white, and threw toilet paper all over the tree and down the stairs.  Naughty Eddie. Not sure he will be welcome in England next year.
