 As Chris was deployed over most of the winter, we only managed one ski trip this year.

 Watching the symphony with my visually impaired student, Susanna was amazing. Feeling the music and watching her face as she listens intensely was an honor. Plus teaching her some silly poses for the camera.

British or Speech impediment

Chris's commander's wife has been making an effort to meet up with me since Chris has been deployed. Although this is out of my comfort zone I agreed to meet her in Starbucks today. We chatted on and off about work and kids etc. She brings up Christmas and says how nice it was to see that my mom could visit. She asked where she visited from and I replied, England. She looked confused and asked if I was British. I looked at her like she had 2 heads and replied, yes. She said, "oh, I was just trying to figure out if you had an accent or a speech impediment." I looked at her like she had four heads as she continued. I just thought that's why you are intrested in special Ed. Either is fine with me she replied.

Making Memories

 Taylor her friends wanted to go to the bakery. They've been wanting to try macaroons. I said I would take them and drop maisie off at basketball game on the way. However, when we got to the bakery Taylor realized I still had Anakin on my shoulder. She was not very impressed. I told her I would just put him in my pocket, she did not find that amusing at all.  I have to thinking about all the possibilities of what to do with and a can or maybe even not going into the bakery myself, I decided that it was the best idea to put him in my pocket.  Anikin was quiet and calm and we went into the bakery and bought the macaroons for the girls, we needed to hurry as Anakin started poking his head out of my pocket.  We left the bakery and I quickly removed and a can from my pocket, not realizing that there was a guy right behind me. Anikin started to flap and scared the crap out of the man, who then tripped and said, "o and started running.

Christmas Away From Home

 My lovely boy is fighting for our freedom while we all enjoy the holidays. So proud of him. The girls and I sent him a tree and some presents when he is done playing with bad guys.
